Chief Boiler Operator
Job Description-- Plainview, MN
General Summary
Responsible for overall control of the plant's steam generation system, freezer cooling system, air compressors, and fire sprinkler system.
Principle Duties
Supervise all other steam firemen, engineers, etc. in the operation of the plant's steam generation and distribution equipment.
Accompany state boiler inspectors on all boiler inspections and follow up on all recommendations.
Responsible for insuring complete compliance with all state regulations for the stam generating equipment.
Must keep license up-to-date and see that all workers under your supervision are properly licensed for hte work they are performing.
Must know how to weld and use a cutting torch. Should have thorough knowledge of pipe threading and welding.
Must be familiar with standard boiler safety procedures, state laws governing boiler safety, and all company safety policies.
Requirements Graduate from a certified boiler operator program is required. Must have a minimum of a Chief Engineer Class B boiler license and a minimum or 5 years experience as a Boiler Operator. Complete set of tools for mechanical maintenance
