Plant Mechanic
Job Description-- Plainview, MN
General Summary
Repair and maintain a variety of pea, corn, and meat processing equipment located within the plant. Assist in training of other plant mechanics.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the efficient flow of product through the assigned area and the major repair and maintenance of all machinery in the assigned area.
Train seasonal and/or full-time employees in the proper, safe, and efficient operation of the machinery to which they are assigned.
Supervise seasonal employees in their day-to-day duties.
Handle minor personnel problems
In the off season, will be involved in any number of maintenance activities including machine/freezer repair/overhaul, cleaning, building walkways and work platforms, and assisting in the installation of new processing equipment.
Requirements Complete set of tools A two year certificate from college or technical school, or 3-5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent benefits package and pay dependent on experience.
